Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains how refund requests and subscription cancellations work for Chat4U paid subscriptions and add-on purchases.

Chat4U is operated by Pirsum-Mi Ltd. However, Paddle acts as Merchant of Record for Paddle-processed Chat4U purchases. That means Paddle is the seller for those transactions and handles checkout, payment collection, and refund execution for those purchases.

Chat4U does not issue direct refunds for Paddle-processed transactions.


2. Governing Refund Standard

Refund requests for Paddle-processed purchases are handled under Paddle's policies and review process, including Paddle's discretion where its policies allow.

This notice is intended to describe Chat4U's alignment with that model. If there is any inconsistency between this page and Paddle's merchant-of-record process for a Paddle transaction, Paddle's process will govern the handling of that transaction.


3. Qualifying Refund Scenarios

A qualifying customer may have a statutory withdrawal or similar refund right for an initial subscription purchase or a one-off purchase where applicable consumer law requires it.

That does not mean every purchase has an unconditional 14-day refund right.

In general:

  • an initial subscription purchase may qualify where applicable law provides a withdrawal right and the right has not been lost or excluded;
  • subscription renewals are generally excluded from statutory withdrawal rights unless applicable law provides otherwise;
  • add-on purchases are assessed according to the specific transaction type, the nature of the digital service, and applicable law;
  • Paddle may review transaction-specific facts and apply its own merchant-of-record process.

Whether a refund is available depends on the transaction, timing, service usage, applicable law, and Paddle's handling criteria.


4. Cancellations

If you want to stop future renewal charges, use the subscription-management or purchase-management link provided by Paddle in your checkout, receipt, or purchase email.

If you cannot locate that link, contact support@chat4u.ai, and we will help point you to the appropriate Paddle management path.

This notice does not promise dashboard-based self-service billing cancellation inside Chat4U.

Unless otherwise required by law or confirmed by Paddle, cancellation stops future renewals and does not automatically create a refund for amounts already charged.


5. How to Request a Refund

For Paddle-processed purchases, you should request the refund through the Paddle purchase or subscription management link associated with your transaction.

If you need assistance locating the correct path, email support@chat4u.ai and include:

  • the purchase email address;
  • the invoice, receipt, or transaction reference;
  • the reason for the request.

Chat4U may help route the request, but Paddle remains the refunding party for Paddle-processed transactions.


6. How Refunds Are Issued

Where a refund is approved for a Paddle-processed transaction, Paddle issues the refund to the original payment method or otherwise handles it through its merchant-of-record process.

Refund timing depends on Paddle and the payment network or financial institution involved.

Chat4U does not send direct off-platform refunds for Paddle-processed purchases.


7. Add-On Purchases

Add-on purchases are not automatically refundable merely because they are add-ons. Eligibility depends on the particular transaction, how the digital service was supplied, applicable law, and Paddle's handling criteria as Merchant of Record.

If an add-on was purchased in error or you believe a refund right applies, use the Paddle management path or contact support@chat4u.ai for routing assistance.


8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy as our billing flows, legal requirements, or Paddle-related processes change. The version and last-updated date identify the current notice.
