Conversation Intelligence

Read analysis status, dates, and agent scope

Know when a conversation is eligible for analysis and how scope affects what Insights can say.

Where to do this in Chat4U
  1. Project
  2. Insights
  3. Analysis

Use the Analysis area in Insights to check the selected date range, included assistants, and whether conversations are available for analysis.

What you’ll accomplish

Set the scope before interpreting insights. This page helps you distinguish analysis eligibility, timing, capacity, and partial results from an empty signal.

Finish with
A comparable view of what was analyzed, pending, or unavailable

Analysis is asynchronous. A conversation needs at least one message, must be idle for the configured analysis interval, must not be pending deletion, and is eligible when it has new messages since its last successful analysis. Monthly analyzed-conversation allowance also constrains which eligible conversations can be claimed.

Read the states

Check scope before comparing periods
  • Stored conversation has messages and is idle
  • It is not deletion-pending and has new content
  • The monthly analyzed-conversation allowance is available
  • Your date and agent filters match the comparison
StateImplementation meaningInterpretation
PendingNo successful envelope is present yet, including work awaiting a batch.Do not treat blank analysis fields as none or zero.
AnalyzedExtraction status is succeeded and structured data is available. It contributes only to metrics that have the relevant field.
FailedExtraction status is failed. It is counted as failed coverage, not as a negative customer signal.
Skipped or unavailableNo usable successful data for this view.Keep it outside field-specific denominators.

If new messages arrive after analysis, the conversation can become eligible again. An analysis therefore describes the messages included at its analyzed watermark, not a permanent truth about a still-changing conversation.

Set a comparable scope

  1. Set dates and agent scopeChoose an inclusive 1–365 day range and, when useful, one active agent.
The same agent limit applies to the insight family and coverage.
  2. Record the comparisonKeep the dates and agent with any conclusion you share.
Compare similarly sized periods using the same agent scope, then check coverage in both.

Synthetic example: Aug 1–14, Sales agent and Jul 1–31, all agents are not a clean comparison. The second set is longer and includes different traffic and agent behavior.

Partial and minimum-data results

Insight sections are independently loaded. A temporary section failure can leave another entitled family available; it does not turn missing data into a zero. The AI business briefing may return insufficient_data when there are not enough analyzed conversations for a reliable briefing. Ordinary insight panels can still be useful if their coverage and eligible denominator are clear.

Limitations

  • The idle interval, allowance, and queue mean analysis is not real-time.
  • A selected period can contain conversations that are pending or failed, so total conversations and analyzed conversations differ.
  • Date filtering uses conversation start time; it does not claim to reflect every visitor interaction occurring after that start date.
