CHAT4U LEGAL
Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 21, 2026
This notice supplements and incorporates the August 2026 Privacy Policy. That policy continues to apply except where this supplement provides more specific information about Chat4U's self-service project billing through Paddle.
Chat4U is operated by Chat4U, company number 514452028, of 4 Jasmin Street, Or Akiva. Chat4U acts as processor for customer-controlled conversation content and as controller for platform, billing, security, and operational data.
The incorporated policy continues to govern lead capture, website and product usage measurement, and conversation analytics and inferences. Those analytics are probabilistic inferences for authorized human review and are not used for solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Chat4U uses OpenAI's Responses API and Batch API for enabled AI processing. Batch input files expire within seven days if ordinary cleanup is interrupted, subject to the provider safeguards described in the incorporated policy.
Independent Controller Roles
For self-service subscriptions and add-ons, Paddle.com is the online reseller and Merchant of Record. Chat4U and Paddle each act as an independent controller for the personal data they process for their respective purposes. Paddle determines how it operates checkout, verifies buyers, processes payment, calculates transaction tax, provides receipts and invoices, prevents payment fraud, handles refunds and disputes, and meets its legal obligations. Paddle's own privacy notice governs those activities.
Chat4U controls account, workspace, project, subscription, entitlement, product-support, security, and legal-acceptance records needed to provide and protect the Service. Chat4U does not instruct Paddle how to perform Paddle's independent Merchant-of-Record obligations.
Data Shared for Billing
Chat4U sends or receives only the data needed to establish and reconcile the billing relationship: billing email, checkout billing and locale facts, subscription and transaction status, and opaque Chat4U/Paddle identifiers used to correlate the correct workspace and project. Opaque metadata must not contain readable workspace or project names.
Chat4U does not send Paddle customer content, conversations, knowledge sources, assistant prompts, product analytics, or marketing profiles for self-service billing. Full card details are entered into Paddle-controlled checkout and are not provided to Chat4U.
Purposes and Legal Bases
Chat4U processes billing data to perform the customer contract, maintain accurate entitlements, prevent duplicate or unauthorized transactions, comply with accounting and legal obligations, secure the Service, resolve product-access issues, and establish or defend legal claims. Where applicable, these purposes rely on contract necessity, legal obligation, and Chat4U's legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Service.
Retention and Rights
Billing, legal-acceptance, refund, dispute, and audit records are retained for the periods required by applicable accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, contract, and legal-claims obligations. Product data follows Chat4U's published retention schedule. Requests concerning data controlled by Chat4U may be sent through the current Privacy Rights process. Requests about Paddle-controlled checkout or payment data should be directed to Paddle.
All other controller/processor allocations, security measures, international-transfer safeguards, rights, and contact details in the incorporated Privacy Policy remain unchanged.
