Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

Version: 2026-09-paddle-project-billing-v1
Last Updated: September 21, 2026

This Project Billing Supplement forms part of the Chat4U Terms of Service between Pirsum-Mi Ltd, operating as Chat4U ("Chat4U"), and the customer accepting it. It incorporates the July 2026 Terms of Service. Those Terms continue to apply except where this Supplement expressly replaces a provision for project creation, self-service billing, taxes, cancellation, or payment support. If there is a conflict, this Supplement controls for that subject.

1. Project Acceptance and Authority

Each Chat4U project has its own subscription and acceptance record. Before activating Free access or beginning paid checkout, an authorized workspace owner or administrator must actively accept the complete linked agreement package for that project. Acceptance for one project does not accept the package for another project, even in the same workspace.

The person accepting represents that they have authority to bind the customer for the project and its workspace. Chat4U records the project, workspace, accepting user and role snapshots, document versions and hashes, time, locale, and related audit evidence. If you lack that authority, do not accept or activate the project.

2. Self-Service Orders and Paddle

For every self-service Chat4U subscription and add-on, Paddle.com is the online reseller and Merchant of Record. The customer purchases the self-service order from Paddle under Paddle's current Buyer Terms. Paddle operates checkout, collects payment, provides transaction invoices or receipts, and handles payment-method, transaction-tax, cancellation, and ordinary refund processes.

Chat4U does not receive full payment-card details. The plan, billing period, price, currency, applicable taxes, renewal terms, trial terms where offered, and total displayed by Paddle at checkout are the transaction terms the customer approves. A browser return or checkout screen does not activate access; Chat4U waits for verified provider confirmation.

3. Taxes

Paddle calculates, collects, and remits taxes for the self-service transaction where required as Merchant of Record. The customer remains responsible for taxes arising from its own business, use of the Service, or circumstances outside Paddle's transaction-tax responsibilities.

4. Trials, Renewals, and Changes

If Chat4U offers a paid-plan trial, checkout discloses its duration, payment requirement, renewal amount, cadence, and applicable tax before approval. A trial is consumed only when a provider-confirmed subscription is created. Closing, abandoning, or declining checkout does not activate access or consume a trial.

Subscriptions renew according to the terms shown at checkout until cancelled. Project Billing shows the verified current contract and any scheduled change. Upgrades, downgrades, cadence changes, add-ons, and recurring indexed capacity take effect only as stated in the preview and after provider confirmation.

5. Cancellation and End of Access

An owner or administrator can begin cancellation from Chat4U Billing or an authenticated Paddle management route. An ordinary paid cancellation normally remains effective through the displayed paid period. Cancelling a trial ends trial access when Paddle confirms the immediate cancellation. A refund, chargeback, failed-payment deadline, pause, or other terminal provider state may end paid access sooner as described in Billing and the applicable Paddle terms.

Ending paid access does not erase immutable legal, transaction, security, or audit evidence. Retained product data follows the applicable Chat4U retention and deletion terms.

6. Refunds and Support

No separate universal Chat4U refund window applies. Refund eligibility and processing follow applicable law, Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy, any express transaction term, and the current Chat4U Refund Policy.

Use Paddle receipt or management links and Paddle support for payment, invoice, tax, cancellation, ordinary refund, or dispute matters. Contact support@chat4u.ai for product delivery, account access, entitlement, project scope, or technical support. Do not send card details or complete Paddle management links to Chat4U.

7. Continued Terms

All provisions of the incorporated July 2026 Terms not expressly changed by this Supplement—including service use, customer data, acceptable use, intellectual property, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, suspension, termination, governing law, and general provisions—remain in effect.
