This document supplements and incorporates the previous cookie information. Existing provisions continue to apply except where this supplement provides more specific information about enabled WooCommerce assistance.

Optional WooCommerce measurement and necessary store context

Native store cookies and short-lived opaque context are used for requested cart assistance and order verification. They are not general analytics permission. The merchant controls its native consent banner; Chat4U does not set a visitor's choice on the visitor's behalf.

The merchant-hosted chat4u_woo_csrf cookie protects requested verification and keeps unconfirmed cart requests reviewable after sign-in or cart merging. It is restricted to the merchant host, is HttpOnly and SameSite Strict, and uses Secure on HTTPS. It expires one day after its most recent use. The plugin derives a connection-scoped recovery reference from it; that reference allows review of a previous request without repeating the cart change. It does not authorize access to an order, identify an account, or grant purchase-measurement permission. Clearing the cookie removes that browser continuity.

Purchase measurement is separate and defaults off. It requires a supported active consent manager, a known consent type and an explicit recorded Allow for the relevant measurement category. A consent API's default true value is insufficient. Denial, absence, expiry or an unsupported setup leaves measurement unavailable while requested shopping help can continue. Withdrawal stops attribution and removes associated evidence; necessary minimized recovery receipts remain separate.
